WHAT DO I DO WITH THE CHEMICAL TOILET?

This must be emptied at the site before you return the vehicle. The chemicals are provided. Instructions will be provided in your handover.

If you empty your toilet and grey water at every site before leaving you will save fuel due to having less weight.

WHAT DO I DO ABOUT WATER?

We will provide you with some fresh water in the tanks but it is advised to fill up at the water point on site rather than travel with a full water tank. You are advised to empty the grey water tank (waste water run-off from the sinks/shower) at the site upon your departure. Note we do not recommend the use of the fresh water for drinking unless it has been boiled/sterilised.

I’VE NEVER DRIVEN A MOTORHOME BEFORE, IS IT DIFFICULT?

Like anything attempted for the first time it can seem daunting at first, however if you take it slowly, use the large mirrors, reversing camera, get assistance from your passengers when maneuvering in and out of any tight or congested spaces and obey all speed limits and traffic regulations you will be in a good position! Because you will be driving a commercial vehicle the speed limits are 60mph rather than 70mph and 40mph rather than 50mph.

The motorhomes do-not have parking or reversing sensors, always use your passenger to guide you.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We understand that sometimes plans can change. If you need to cancel your booking, provided this is communicated to us more than 4 weeks before your scheduled departure date, we would only retain the £200 deposit, at this point we would be able to help with changing your dates if they are available, making your original deposit transferable. For cancellations made 2 – 4 weeks before your hire, we would retain 50% of the total booking cost. Cancellations within 1 week of departure would unfortunately force us to keep 100% of the booking cost. For Covid cancellations / governments changes see our Covid Guide.

WHAT HAPPENS WITH FUEL?

The vehicle is collected fully fuelled (Diesel) and should be returned fully fuelled. There is a filling station 1 mile away on the A66 (Penny Petroleum). We can refuel for you at a cost of the fuel plus a £25 refueling charge which will be deducted from the £700 security deposit.

CAN I COME AND LOOK AT THE MOTORHOME BEFORE I BOOK?

Yes, of course, I would recommend it, you can do this by booking a prearranged appointment

DO I NEED HOLIDAY INSURANCE?

Customers travel at their own risk, we advise you to take out suitable personal holiday insurance cover, to cover personal belongings, some companies can provide an insurance that covers your refundable deposit.

BOOKING CAMPING SITES

We advise you to always book hard standing pitches. If you choose to book a grass pitch and get stuck/needing to be recovered, this often has a fee attached for the service by either the site or a recovery service to pull you out, the general cost by a recovery service is around £150. Not all campsite will assist with pulling you out due to the possibility of causing damage to the vehicle. The cost of recovery due to being stuck is not covered by the breakdown service and would be the responsibility of the hirer, if any damage is caused as a result of being pulled out this would unfortunately affect your refundable deposit.

We are members of the Camping and Caravanning Privilege Club, which entitles you to up to 30% off, you can claim this by booking over the phone, if you book online you may have to pay the full cost but when you arrive on site showing the key fob your will be refunded the discount.

You will need the registration number and the length of the vehicle to book your pitch.

Whiskks is 3mts x 7mts and Daizy is 2.5mtr x 6mts
